The Fibromyalgia Plague

Sleepless womanThere is a plague that runs through the fibromyalgia community, one that if you buy into to it, and many do, you are doomed for life. Once you become brainwashed through misguided “drug only” doctors, telling you you’ll have to learn to live with it, or hopeless “tried it all nothing works” support group members, you’re doomed. Doctors will tell patients to get more rest, to exercise, to lose weight, or eat better. You’d love to get a good night’s sleep but can’t. Yes you’d love to exercise but find it hard to get out of bed each day much less exercise. Doctors recommend you take more and more drugs to cover up more and more symptoms. They tell patients that since drugs don’t cure fibromyalgia, you’ll just have to learn to live with it. Drugs don’t make you healthy. Drugs can be helpful, sometimes needed, and sometimes your only choice, but they don’t make you healthy.

After specializing in fibromyalgia for almost two decades I can assure you that getting healthy is the only way to beat fibromyalgia. And people do beat fibromyalgia. I know, people will say it can’t be true, that you can’t beat fibromyalgia. They think that once you have the diagnosis of fibromyalgia you’ll always be sick, no matter what you do. How sad! I can’t imagine giving up on life, thinking that you’ll feel bad day after day, for the rest of your life.

Giving up on ever feeling good again when you’re thirty, forty, fifty, or sixty years old, seems like the darkest hole you could ever fall into.

The truth is you can most likely beat fibromyalgia. There are thousands of fibromyalgia patients, who have, through many different protocols, and different doctors, gotten healthy, and yes, beaten fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia is not terminal. You do have options. Unfortunately one of those options, traditional medicine alone, is a dead end. In traditional medicine the goal is typically to manage the symptoms with drug therapy. With fibromyalgia, there’s just too many symptoms, so before you know it, you’re on half a dozen, to a dozen drugs, and you don’t know whether they’re helping or hurting because one day it’s a good day, the next day it’s a bad day. You just never know. But each drug has potential side effects. These side effects can mimic the very symptoms associated with fibromyalgia. So your drugs can actually be contributing to your chronic pain, low energy, and brain fog.

Fortunately, there are more and more doctors who are practicing functional medicine, the kind of medicine that I’ve been practicing for almost 24 years. And fortunately many of these doctors are now starting to specialize in fibromyalgia, as I have for almost two decades.

To those patients who have beaten fibromyalgia, through whatever means, I salute you. For those naysayers that post or say that the testimonials I share are people who never had fibromyalgia-please this is silly and rude. These people are adults, some are doctors, some nurses and they know if they did or didn’t have fibromyalgia. I’ve specialized in fibromyalgia for almost two decades and have written 3 books on the subject, and taught at numerous colleges and I know if someone does or doesn’t have fibromyalgia.

I’m committed to helping as many folks with fibromyalgia beat it. Not cope, not learn to live with it, but beat it.

The naysayers will say that maybe these patient testimonials learned to live it but they still have fibromyalgia. My patients don’t care whether they were cured, beat it or put their fibromyalgia into remission. All they care about is that they sleep through the night, are mostly pain free, have energy to do the things they love to do, and are able to live again without worrying if this will be a good day or a day.

I’ve helped thousands get healthy and yes stay healthy. I’ll be sharing one or two of their stories each week in my quest to show that just because you get the diagnoses of fibromyalgia doesn’t mean you can’t ever feel good again. For most you can. I’ve written a book www.getfibrobooks.com that goes into detail about how to get healthy and stay healthy and feel good again. The book contains step-by-step protocols for reestablishing deep restorative sleep, boosting energy, and ways to drastically reduce pain. True it is easier to live in denial, give up all hope, and say that “it” doesn’t work. But the truth is I’ve helped thousands feel good again and I’ll help hundreds more this year. Yes I know there will be those who say they’ve tried everything, vitamins supplements, essential oils, diets, acupuncture, chiropractic, numerous drugs, etc. and still don’t feel good. I understand. Fibromyalgia is a very difficult condition to beat and without the right guidance, proven protocols, and specialized testing, most will not be successful.

If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired then don’t buy into “you’ll have to learn to live with it.” You may not have too. I’ve helped thousands get their life back. You can read or listen to some of their stories by clicking the link below. I’ll be posting new success stories each week. Eventually they’ll be hundreds of these success stories. And sure enough their will surely be a group of naysayers saying that these folks didn’t have fibro or that they have tried what I recommend and don’t feel any better. However, I’ll continue to work harder and smarter to help those who are open to the possibility that they too can feel good again.

You can read or listen to some of the patients, who working with me, one on one mostly with weekly phone consults, have in fact beaten fibromyalgia. /testimonials-from-fibromyalgia-patients/

I have gradually gotten worse in the last five years, I’m a nurse used to working 40-50hours a week, I have pushed myself until there is no more. I do not want to give up my job to this Fibro/ CFS/Hypothyroidism / herniated disc, I have thought I’d given it all but I read how you can get rid of it, I cannot afford one more try this scheme. Could you outline your program and not just be another tried and failed for me?

I totally understand your reluctance to try another protocol/program only to strike out again. I have worked with a lot of nurses and like the fact that for the most part they are hard workers, willing to do what it takes to get well and stay well. I’d encourage you to call clinic and speak with my assistant Juno 205-879-2383. You can ask hr to give you more information about my get healthy program. There are free videos and audios on my site that share some of this information as well http://www.treatingandbeating.com

I never knew this & just found out yesterday. There is an autoimmune disorder called Polymyalgia that is so much like Fibro but its the joints, muscles etc that the body attacks. I haven’t done any research on it yet but am going to. None of the Drs I have seen have ever mentioned it to me & I have suffered with pains where no one should have them. Just thought I’d let you know. Thanks & If anyone can give me some good advice I’d love it.
