Jill Beats Fibromyalgia

“I was in the bed 14 to 16 hours a day. When I came to you, I was basically at my wits’ end. Even my husband was like, “I don’t know how much longer you would have lasted spiraling downhill like that.”

My pain was in all of my joints, my wrists, the joints in my thumbs, my fingers, my back, my neck, my lower back, my knees, my ankles. I had pain everywhere along with the chronic fatigue. I would lay in the bed and all I could think about was how everything hurt. Even the spots in the middle of my arm like the size of a dime, in a certain spot it would just ache in a weird spot.

I just had pain everywhere.

I would go to the herb shop up here where I live, it was good for me to get out of the house … they saw me consistently get better and better.

One day the lady saw me, and she was like, “Are you the same lady that last time you came in?” I was like, “Yeah that’s me” and she goes, “You look great, what are you doing?” “I’m with this doctor in Birmingham, he’s helping me” and she just couldn’t believe it.

They offered me a job, that’s where I work now at the herb shop. They gave me a job because they saw me get better and better, and they wanted me to be a testament to people that you can beat these things and get better.”

Jill From Georgia Beats Fibromyalgia

Dr. M:

Hi Jill, Jill is joining us from Georgia. Thanks for joining me tonight, I appreciate you being here. Can you share a little bit about your story, where you were when we first started working together? You were in pretty bad shape when we started working together.

Jill:

I really was. I was in the bed awake probably 14 to 16 hours a day. Even though I was in the bed, even if I slept I wouldn’t wake up refreshed. I couldn’t function basically, I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow, I had a lot of joint pain, I had chronic fatigue and it was horrible … it was miserable.

Dr. M:

This had been going on for quite a while. What were your doctors recommending that you do?

Jill:

They were pretty much baffled. They tested me for rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, they tested me for all kinds of different things. One after the next after the tests came back negative, they sent me to a rheumatologist who diagnosed me with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.

Basically they were like “We don’t really know what to do.” My rheumatologist just said, “Go to your primary care physician, they can help you.” I went to my primary care physician and told him what I was diagnosed with. They were like, “We don’t really know anything about that.”

They didn’t really know what to do.

I had all kinds of digestive issues, they ran all these tests … they told me I had irritable bowel syndrome and things like that. They just couldn’t help me, I was always in pain.

Dr. M:

I think this is always a big reach for people. When you reached out to me in June, what was it that led you to seek me out and do a phone consult?

Jill:

This girl that I know has a lot of the same issues as me. She had been seeing your ads pop up online on Facebook, and she knew that I was suffering. She forwarded me some of your webinars and some of your videos that would be on Facebook.

I started watching them and I thought this makes sense. This is the first thing I have seen or heard that makes sense to me. It was things that I was already thinking like things spiraling out of control; one thing could lead to this and this and this. It made sense and that’s why I contacted you.

I’m a smart person and I knew that what you were saying would help. I had nothing to lose basically and I thought that it would really work, so I called you.

My husband was pushing me too to call you. He was miserable that I was miserable … he felt so bad for me. He pushed me too.

Dr. M:

When we first talked, you had shared with me the chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, diverticulitis, problems with anxiety, low moods, overactive bladder, degenerative disk disease, tingling in your hands and feet, fast heart rate … several other things, the list goes on and on.

I knew you were going to be a challenge, but what I also heard in our interview was just that you were determined to get well. That’s really all I needed to hear, because I knew what the doctors were doing wasn’t going to work and that we had to do something different.

Jill:

Yeah, all of that makes me want to cry when you read all that stuff. I have been feeling good for so long now that I’ve been with you, that that starts to fade from your memory. Now it’s brought back all of a sudden these things, now I’m like “Oh no that’s horrible.” I relive some of it thinking about it.

I was miserable, I had all those things … even things like degenerative disk disease… you’ve helped me determine where I was lacking in certain areas.

Those things have led me to be able to address each problem one by one.

I was on 12 medications when I first started your program, like Mobic for my bladder, they had me on Lyrica, Diflucan … arthritis in my shoulders, things like that so they had me on all these medicines and I was actually getting worse.

I was getting worse and worse. I was basically at my wits’ end.

Even my husband was like, “I don’t know how much longer you would have lasted spiraling downhill like that.”

I’ve come off all those medications, I’m only on one and that’s my thyroid medication. I’m on that boost that you gave me, so I see myself maybe getting off of that eventually.

Dr. M:

When we first started, you had all over pain, it was everywhere. There wasn’t a place really that wouldn’t bother you. Tell me about your pain when we first started.

Jill:

My pain was in all of my joints, my wrists, the joints in my thumbs, my fingers, my back, my neck, my lower back, my knees, my ankles.

I had pain everywhere along with the chronic fatigue. I would lay in the bed and all I could think about was how everything hurt.

Even the spots in the middle of my arm like the size of a dime, in a certain spot it would just ache in a weird spot. I just had pain everywhere.

Dr. M:

Your energy was really, really bad and you just shared a lot of times you were in bed, sometimes 16 hours a day because you just felt so bad.

Jill:

Like I said, a lot of it was no energy because I couldn’t function. I didn’t work for a couple of years because of it. I always had a job so I was active, but I never really felt good even then.

Even when I had those jobs, I was getting worse and worse over the years. I would not be able to really function and then hit me to where I couldn’t do anything. If I got out and got the mail, that was such a big accomplishment. The fact that I went outside and walked to the mailbox … that was a big deal for me. Even to go outside and water my flowers, I would be so sad just looking at them die on the front porch. I couldn’t even go outside to water my plants … things like that, it was horrible.

Now I’m thriving, oh my lord I can’t believe it I feel great. It’s amazing.

Dr. M:

It is amazing because for the people listening, they don’t have the advantage that I do to see the metamorphosis that you’ve undergone in the last few months.

What they don’t know is how you were … just your voice, the energy in your voice, you’ve got that spark back. You see your pictures that you shared with me, where you were before and where you are now … you really don’t have any pain.

You shared with me that you’ve started walking a while back, you’re walking 3 miles a day and then you got to 6 miles a day. You’re interviewing for a job.

Jill:

I would go to the herb shop up here where I live, it was good for me to get out of the house … they saw me consistently get better and better.

One day the lady saw me and she was like, “Are you the same lady that last time you came in?”

I was like, “Yeah that’s me” and she goes, “You look great, what are you doing?” “I’m with this doctor in Birmingham, he’s helping me” and she just couldn’t believe it.

They gave me a job because they saw me get better and better, and they wanted me to be a testament to people that you can beat these things and get better. That’s where I’m working, I’m very active and just love it. It’s all due to doing a program with you.

Jill:

People want to come in there and then they’ll … not all of them but some of them, you have a handful that say there’s no way you really have fibromyalgia, this and that. I think they’ve bought into the fact mentally that they can’t overcome it because they don’t know how to get help, and nobody really knows how to help them. They’ve bought into the fact that this wait is for them. That’s why I give them your information, please just watch these videos, call him because you can get better. There’s only so much you can do to help people but some people just buy into it and think they ever won’t get better, but if somebody like me started feeling that way and they want to get better, they will get better by getting with you.

Dr. M:

What would you share with those folks that are listening tonight about your story, about your experience of where you were working with me over the last 6 months? What would you want to share with them?

Jill:

I would just say that I know there are people that are in worse shape than me than I was, but they’d have to be pretty bad.

I don’t want to say I feel worse than you do but I was really, really bad. I would say just take the first step, have an open mind and go into it knowing that you will get better.

You just have to have confidence and faith. I just want people to know that they can get better.

There’s a site about fibromyalgia where they sell these things, these little purple butterflies because that’s their fibromyalgia symbol. It’s purple and it’s this butterfly.

There’s people buying this and it hit me one day, I was like that’s pretty but I’m not buying that. I’m not even acknowledging that I have this, so I posted a comment on that website.

I was like, I’m just trying to help you here but if you would not buy this bracelet and actually try to get help …

Don’t buy into the fact and accept that you have fibromyalgia. Call Dr Murphree, do his program, don’t buy the bracelet.

They were like no, you can’t reverse it and I’m just like posting your website. I’m trying to share that with people but that’s really what’s in my heart.

Don’t buy into it and like you say, fibromyalgia is just a word. It’s a list of about 30 conditions and it’s just all of those conditions … it’s just a name on all those conditions that you have.

You can hit those conditions one by one and start fixing the joint pain, fixing your stomach which is bloated because you might have yeast overgrowth there.

All these things have to be hit one by one and that’s what you did. You tackled each condition and got rid of each one. That’s what causes fibromyalgia, is all these different conditions together. You got to get to the root of the problem, to mask it with Lyrica because that’s just suppressing your immune system. You’re not getting better, you’re getting worse, by doing that.

You’ve got to get to the root of the problem or you’re never going to get well. That’s really what’s in my heart to say.

Dr. M:

I couldn’t have said it any better.

Jill:

I was led to you and I’m just telling you, it’s the greatest thing. After I married my husband, this is the greatest thing I‘ve ever done … he’s here by the way.

Dr. M:

Hi Luke, how are you?

Jills husband Luke

You’re awesome…you have no idea how much I appreciate getting my wife back You have no idea, thank you sir.

Jill:

I can take a boat and go fishing with him now; before I couldn’t get out of bed on a Saturday to do anything.

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome made up of common symptoms. Traditional medicine tries to cover up the symptoms with drugs. The key is finding the underlying issues, the reason for the symptoms/warning signs causing poor sleep, low energy and pain, etc. Traditional medicine will tell you you just have to learn to live with it. The only way to beat fibro is to get healthy. This means different things for different people again depending on the causes-low thyroid not properly diagnosed, adrenal fatigue, food allergies, leaky, etc. There is NO one size fits all “cure” for fibromyalgia. However, patients working personally with have beaten fibro, they don’t care if call it cure or remission, doesn’t matter. They are just happy to have their lives back.

Does your Herbs contain any spices or like Termeric or acid drinks? I can’t have any of these and I’m on a very strict diet for all the other illnesses I have. I would love to get my life back. I feel like I’ve been dragged through a knot hole all day long and almost everyday of my life and if I do do something I will pay extra for it in the coming days!

You can choose to believe it or not, that is up to you. If you buy into the “learn to live with it” then you are doomed. My patients didn’t give up they were proactive and continued to look for help. There free videos, articles, protocols, and more on my site, all waiting to be reviews and then used if make sense. Obviously my patients who have beaten fibromyalgia would disagree. Always best to be proactive than reactive.
